BMW X3 Front Differential Fluid Replacement Service DIY (2011-2017 BMW X3 F25 xDrive28i, xDrive35i)
►Replacing your BMW X3 front differential fluid is a simple process that's easily performed in your driveway or garage. The F25 BMW X3, like all AWD vehicles, uses a front differential to turn engine rotation into forward movement. Inside the differential are a set of gears and some bearings that all need lubricating fluid to perform reliably. Like any oil, differential fluid breaks down over time thanks to thousands of miles of usage, so you'll eventually need to replace it.
In this video, Mike Hidalgo, FCP Euro's Professional DIY'er, replaces the front differential fluid on a BMW X3 F25.

Audi A4 Oil Pan Replacement DIY (2009-2017 Audi B8/8.5 A4, A5, A6, Q5, 2.0t Engine)
Просмотров 60815 часов назад
►The Audi B8 & B8.5 oil pan is responsible for catching and holding all of the oil not being circulated through the engine at any moment. Any damage to it can interrupt oil flow and potentially ruin your engine. Replacing the engine oil pan at the first sign of damage or leakage is the best way to ensure your engine is free of oiling issues. If you live in an area with salted roads, there's a g...
MINI Cooper Cabin Air Filter Replacement DIY (2007-2012 R56 MINI Cooper, Coopers, JCW)
Просмотров 6817 часов назад
►Musty or moldy-smelling air from your MINI Cooper's HVAC is likely caused by a cabin air filter that is long overdue for replacement. Filtering out contaminants from the air will cause leaves, dirt, and other debris to dirty up the filter. If left long enough, the damp bits of foliage trapped in the filter can get quite unpleasant. Replacing the cabin air filter in an R56 MINI might be the mos...
BMW M3 ABS Sensor Replacement (2001-2006 BMW E46 M3)
Просмотров 68720 часов назад
►The ABS and the speedometer rely on wheel speed sensors for their live data. A malfunctioning wheel speed sensor can't acquire that data, leading to an ABS light on the instrument cluster and a non-functioning ABS system. A healthy braking system is something everyone should have, so replace the wheel speed sensors as soon as you can. Access to the sensors is plentiful, but those living in are...
MINI R56 Front Crankshaft Seal Replacement DIY (2007-2016 R56/R57 MINI Cooper, R60 Countryman)
Просмотров 88822 часа назад
►The crankshaft must stick out of the front of an engine so that there's a spot for the hub to mount. A specialized seal allows that without letting oil pass, but it can go bad. A leaky front crankshaft seal on the N14 engine isn't uncommon, so if you see oil around the front of the engine, there's a good chance it's this seal. Replacing your front crankshaft seal requires a couple of funky soc...

►You know what's cool? Keeping your big, bad, and boosted BMW from overheating. BMW cooling systems are far from the most robust, and the extra heat provided by turbochargers only accelerates the degradation of all the plastics within the system. Replacing your radiator with an all-aluminum unit from CSF and pairing it with some fresh hoses is arguably the best way to prevent any overheating, w...
MINI Cooper O2 Sensor Replacement DIY (2007-2012 R56 MINI Cooper, Cooper S, JCW)
Просмотров 621День назад
►Replacing an O2 sensor is a fairly costly and unfortunate consequence of today's highly advanced fuel injection systems. An oxygen sensor is a critical part of your engine management system as it reads what's in your exhaust gas. Depending on what the sensor reads, the engine computer will make adjustments to the fueling for better performance, fuel economy, and/or engine safety. The sensors t...

►Fuel has to pass through several different places before reaching your injectors or carburetors. It's not uncommon for it to pick up contaminants along the way, so it's the fuel filter's job to ensure those never reach the engine. Volvo XC60 Engine Oil & Filter Replacement (2010-2016 Volvo P3 SI6 XC60 3.2, 3.0 T6, R-Design)

►Regular engine oil replacements are the best way to ensure your Volvo XC60's engine internals remain healthy. Oil breaks down with use and loses its lubricating properties, and leaving it in for too long will cause premature and excessive wear on the rotating assembly. Instead, take the half hour to grab your tools and change your oil on time. The typical oil change interval for the Volvo SI6 ...

This engine is very hard on engine oil, though almost no one talks about it on youtube. Engine oil temp runs continuously 110-115 °C on the highway, and can reach 140°C very quickly on a spirited drive/hillclimb, especially on facelift models, due to lack of air cooling. People who use these hard are complaining especially on hot climate regions. What do you recommend for these regions? A lower temp oil thermostat? Thicker oil maybe, like 5w50 or 10w60?

I really should have searched this video BEFORE trying to do the job. I did find out about the service mode after realizing the piston wouldn't compress. However, by that time, I had already taken the caliper off. It didn't retract all the way and I couldn't easily compress the piston with a clamp (had brake reservoir open). There wasn't enough clearance to put the caliper back on. I thought i could "reset" by exiting fitting mode and re-entering fitting mode. Upon exiting fitting mode (with caliper loose), the piston extended itself until it flew off 😭 There is no stop for it. Be careful! DIY was a piece of cake on the front, now a shop is fixing my mistake in the rear 💀

Very informative. Just followed this instruction video and finished belt, water pump, idler and tensioner pulley, decoupler pulley and seal, vacuum pump seal, fuel pressure sensor. Was not intended to do these but saw some cross cracks on the belt when replacing alternator voltage regulator (the initial problem was a failed alternator). Since the air intake is already removed to access alternator, decided to replace the thermostat because it is right under the intake. Then notice the cracks on the belt. A smaller project became a gigantic maintenance job 🤣🤣🤣. My car sits on ramp for three weeks (most time is waiting for parts). At lease I will be having the peace of mind for another 100K miles 😛😛. The hardest part I think is moving the power steering pump away. Have to repeat watching the video a couple more times before noticed that Mike actually rotated the steering pump to the front so the elbow connecting the reservoir rotate away from ABS module. A small trick hope to help everyone else.
